Mission StatementThe wars that the United States is involved in are taxing on service members and their families. The purpose of GI Voice is to provide us with a place to freely express ourselves on the subject. It is also a place for information on GI rights and a link to organizations that offer solutions to families and service members in the military. We believe that by sharing our experiences, educating ourselves, and acting in support of each other we can bring about the change necessary to create a livable world.

Do you have any figures
Do you have any figures about anti-war sentiment within the military?

I heard you on the radio
I heard you on the radio yesterday and I want to correct one statement you made. John McCain has not "just found religion". John McCain is quick to say that while he was a POW for several years, he got through all that because he "has religion. That was some time ago as you know and I am offended by your comment. I'm sure you are sincere in your Coffee House endeavor. Let us also remember that those soldiers who are in the military now are there on a volunteer basis, not because they were drafted as they were during the Vietnam War. I respect our soldiers and appreciate the sacrifices they make and pray for them and their families. Good luck in your endeavors to help them, but please, at least get your information correct, especially the obvious.
draft
The veterans who are building the coffeehouse are Iraq veterans who "volunteered" to join. These are not Vietnam veterans who were drafted. I wanted to correct your assumption that there is not a strong anti-war movement developing withing the "volunteer" military.
